Announcing our fall location

We’re so happy to share that you’ll be able to enjoy a Village Sauna session at the beach this fall. Starting Sunday, October 4th, we’ll have our sauna parked at Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in partnership with The McKernan Inn on Southern Maine Community College’s campus. For those interested in cold water dips, you’ll have a short walk from the sauna to the small beach near the lighthouse…not to mention a sweet view from the sauna bench!

We can’t wait to offer a welcoming, restorative sauna space for our community as the temps drop. We’re grateful to the kind folks at The McKernan Inn for their interest in partnering, and we’re looking forward to feeling the joy of a sauna session at one of our beautiful oceanfront spaces. Our sauna will be located outside 58 Lighthouse Circle, and parking can be found in the lots closest to Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse (marked in the image above). Navigating to 58 Lighthouse Circle in South Portland will bring you down Fort Road straight to these parking lots. For the last year and a half, we've been working hard to get a spot at the beach, where we think a Maine-based mobile sauna can create a special customer experience. Plenty of you asked us last season to park at SMCC's beach for the opportunity to plunge in the ocean and enjoy views of the islands. Plus, it’s still close to home for all of the Portland-based customers we met during our residency at Night Moves Bread & Lambs last season (a partnership we still cherish and is not going anywhere!), so we had extra motivation to pursue this new partnership.

SMCC turned out to be a natural fit with oceanfront space, a student-run inn that collaborates with the college's hospitality program, and a spot right here in our home of South Portland. We're so excited to get our season started here and see our customers again!

This is a 6 week pilot to help us prove the value to the community and the feasibility of this location. We appreciate your support, and we will be asking for feedback to help us build a case to remain here long term!

Let’s get your family/team/friend group together for a beach sauna session. For a group of up to 8, reserve the entire sauna and enjoy the heat (and an ocean dip?) together.
