Village Sauna opens this Thursday (1/15) for regular weekly operations! With the sauna parked next to Night Moves Bread & Lambs, you’ll be able to enjoy a view of the Fore River during your sessions and visit our partner businesses for delicious refreshments.
OPEN THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SUNDAY
Book a single session, or rent out the sauna for a group of up to 8 people at a discount as we test out our initial operating hours.
FREE SAUNA FOR MAINE OUTDOOR ECONOMY SUMMIT ATTENDEES
We’ll be attending the Maine Outdoor Economy Summit January 21-23, where people working across Maine's outdoor economy come together to connect and shape the future of outdoor recreation in our state. We’re hosting conference-dedicated sessions on Wednesday, 1/21 at Night Moves, and offering free sessions for attendees on the 22nd & 23rd as well!
EVENT RECAP: OUR SNOWY SOFT LAUNCH
Our soft launch in December was so fun — thanks to all who came by! We were lucky to have a beautiful, snowy Sunday to test out operating in our new home. There were laughs and chatter around the wood stove, many Night Moves coffees, baked goods, and hot chocolates enjoyed, and one brave snow angel. We can’t wait to be back this week!
WHY A SAUNA BUSINESS?
Last week, we posted on Instagram about our intent to help our Maine community feel more connected. We’re big fans of the principles in former US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy’s book Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection, which highlights the ways that meaningful relationships are often the most impactful contributor to our wellbeing.
About a year ago we realized an intimate space like our sauna can foster a much-needed sense of belonging — especially in the darkest and coldest months of the year — and we started bringing this business to life. It’s our favorite health benefit of sauna: human connection. We hope you feel the benefits!
